CALAMBA CITY TODAY

The Calamba City Press Corps, Inc. (CCPCI) has been organized since 2009 by media practitioners operating in the city, originally for print and broadcast, on important events to share to the public.

 

In 2011, the CCPCI was granted accreditation by the city government as one of the non-government organizations (NGOs) in accordance with the provision of the Constitution and the Local Government Code of the Philippines.

 

Recently, the Board of Trustees has increased the membership of the corps to include students in city colleges and universities as Affiliates and those working in government institutions involved in information dissemination as Associates practically making the organization a team “of the people, by the people and for the people” so that everyone’s voice can be heard and shared.

 

We adhere to the important purpose of journalism which is “to provide citizens with accurate and reliable information they need in a free society.”

 

With the advent of new platforms brought about by the Internet, we endeavour this web-based online news portal to reach out every native, resident and follower of our national hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal of what is happening in “Calamba City Today”.
